The stainless steel silos from ALFRA feature rounded internal corners to improve product flow and reduce residue.
Silos can have an enormous influence on the speed of the dosing and weighing equipment below. Products compacted against the silo walls can cause rat holing which requires frequent cleaning to avoid product contamination or degradation. Product bridging can block the outlet and stop production altogether. Preventing that can greatly increase dosing speeds, sometimes even doubling them. The ALFRA range of silos provide efficient and effective storage and discharge of all types of materials.
